| Born in Dublin Ireland, raised gypsy style in southern Spain,Sian,aka Graham Goodwin chose early to drop out of society,make music and be saved by art,committing 100% to the avantgarde way of life,he lives it like its golden. After 2 albums and several singles with electronica/down beat labels he releases"Sei" on Pokerflat with a remix from Steve Bug,an unusual melodic record like a breath of fresh air in a club,which instantly goes into groove.de/djmag/idj/de:bug in highest esteem,gets airplay from bbc1,switch radio etc and ends up in the record boxes of most techno/house luminaries. Followed up by Cinematheque on Dessous recordings and Gyspy life 12" on Karmarouge,all getting him rave reviews from press and djs alike,he has begun forging a name as an original and rare talent amongst the techno/house community. Next up is his Robots in the forest EP for Dirtcrew Recordings and also 12's with labels such as Oliver Huntemann's Dance Electric imprint etc etc. His production is arty,unique and childlike simple,he works with sounds as blocks of bright colour and makes music for both the club and mind simultaniously,keeping his music intellectual whilst wrecking the dancefloor. With his DJing adventures so far, Sian started out supporting in the legendary Kitchen in dublin(legendary techno club owned by U2)and has played all over in the likes of The END,The Loft,Cargo,Remedy,Soap Club,333,Retox,Garden Party,POD,Fake,festivals etc etc etc.He now DJs worldwide including monthly stints at his residency@ POGO,Dublin. Known as pure energy in the DJ booth,suffice to say,Sian likes parties to be wild. He is maintaining a strong belonging to the counter culture and scene he grew up with,standing wide-eyed in awe at clubs like the Temple of Sound or UFO. He believes that electronic music is more than just an interesting theory,it shapes lives and he loves the energy,sweat,and uniqueness of this beautiful scene. |
